Our Story
Fasting and the Longevity Revolution is a fascinating journey that takes us from California to the Andes in Ecuador, to Sardinia, Campania, and Calabria in Southern Italy, in search of the secrets of longevity.
Narrated by three-time Academy Award Edward Norton, the documentary explores how the food industry has replaced the tobacco industry, making people age faster, with overweight and obesity making them sick and dependent on expensive drugs.
Through the insights of the leading experts in fasting, nutrition, and genetics, cutting-edge scientific studies, and understanding the lifestyle of people who have demonstrated extraordinary longevity, the film describes in detail the mostly plant-based daily eating habits and certain fasting practices that can help us become healthier and live long while staying away from hospitals and medication.
This documentary was inspired by the books written by Dr. Valter Longo, Director of the Longevity Institute at the USC School of Gerontology, the world’s leading center for research on aging, whose groundbreaking discoveries include the identification of genetic and dietary intervention that make simple organisms live 10 times longer and reduce biological age.
The Longo laboratories have discovered how the “Longevity Diet” and short periods of a “fasting mimicking diet” can stimulate the body’s ability to self-repair and regenerate to help prevent or reverse many diseases. The documentary features real patient cases supported by many clinical and epidemiological studies that demonstrate how various diseases can be prevented and treated minimizing the use of medication.
Produced by Chiara Tilesi for Frequency Production, which has always been dedicated to addressing crucial contemporary issues, and directed by Barry Alexander Brown, two-time Academy nominee, the documentary stands out for its clear, authentic, and engaging narrative approach.
The film marks the fascinating beginning of a movement promoting the positive effects of fasting and plant-based nutrition in protecting and rejuvenating the body.
Watch the film now and do not miss a unique opportunity to explore the connection between diet, fasting, and health longevity.
